The next day I walked to school with Maia, my best friend who is also a wolf. My hair was pulled back into a ponytail, as our girls soccer team was going against the boys soccer team today. Maia yawned.
"Who did you fight yesterday?" She asked, gesturing to the scar on the back of my right hand.
"I don't know. I know I fought Epic." I said, just barely noticing Maia's sudden alertness. "What? Do you like Epic?"
"Sort of." Maia replied.
We walked into our homeroom class the one I shared, unfortunately, with James. I sat down next to Maia and made sure I had finished all my homework. The teacher walked in just before the bell rung.
"Alright guys, today we have a soccer rally for our school. The girls team is going against the boys team, so I'm giving you this time to make some posters for the team your rooting for." She said.
Later, it was time for our class to head to the soccer field. Me, Maia, and my other friends broke off to go the change room so we could put on our team’s uniform.
