THIS MAY DOUBLE POST (I'm not patient)!
I'll POV for Kennith, Arbiter, Hakase, and Medicine right now, and do Sachiko and Old's POV later (probably after Ver-chan POVs with one of her villains).
I woke up in a strange world, feeling a pain in my back as I sat up. Where was I? How did I get here? The last I remembered...Cortana, the AI, had gotten hold of Forerunner Guardians, preparing a conquest of the galaxy. The Spartan teams, Captain Lasky, Commander Palmer, and the scientist Halsey had met up with me to discuss what to do next...That's where my memory was blurred. Somehow, between then and now, something brought me here. As if on cue, I got my answer.
"Greetings, citizens of the Fictionverse." said a strange voice that rang through my head. "You're probably all wondering what happened to you and why you're here. You may have noticed strange things happening in your homes. That is why you are here. This is the real world, where people have no knowledge of your worlds. We can only assume that this is where the root of the problem is. You are all expected to investigate this problem and learn what could be causing it."
The "real world"? What exactly was that? No, what was more important was that my world and people were in danger, I was brought here when I was needed most! Do they know where I am? Have others from my world been brought here as well? What will become of my world if I'm not there? No...I must be positive. They still have the Master Chief...hopefully.
"In a few days, we will check in again with all of you for your progress. Safe searching."
The strange voice was replaced with a choir of angry responses. So it was confirmed. I was not alone. And it seemed my new, possible companions were not very thrilled to be here. Years ago, I may have joined in their shouts. But what I've learned through my life is that not everything goes your way, and the winds of fate have strange paths carved for us. If such events were meant to happen, there was a reason for it.
But with that said...with my galaxy on the verge of being enslaved and dictated by powerful artificial intelligence, this better not be a waste of my valuable time, or I will find whoever did this and-(content cut)
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! THIS HAS TO HAPPEN NOW?!" I shouted when the message was done.
Everything I was working on...my broadcast...it was supposed to happen today, and then I black out and wake up here! JUST WHERE WAS HERE, ANYWAY?! No, that's not the problem yet. The problem was that my hypnotizing broadcast was put on hold for SAVING THE WORLD?! I was about to make an entire country CRASH OVERNIGHT! Why was I qualified for this?!
"Stephanie would be glad to hear I was setback by someone telepathically telling me to save the world," I mumbled with anger.
My once best friend, Stephanie, was very much against my habits. Greg was as well, and it hurt to see past their facades for the first time. I spent much research on how to hypnotize people, and now I won't even be able to test out my project. I sighed. COLORBARS's release date would just have to be pushed back.
"But why me?" I asked nobody in particular. "Everything I've been doing recently would make me the last person chosen for such a task. If anyone in my world had to be chosen, it would be Stephanie..." I slightly laughed. "Maybe Greg, if these people were really desperate." I scolded myself. "Wait, no, stop being happy talking about them! You hate them! They hate you! They want you gone...dead! You'd be better off like that anyway!"
"Hello? Is anyone there?" I heard a voice ask.
"That was really weird..." I heard Nano say next to me.
We'd woken up in a strange new place with a voice explain some interesting stuff to us. Nano, Sakamoto, and I were still kind of confused how we went from sleeping on our bedspreads to being in an entirely new world. I'd come up with a lot of theories, but Sakamoto harshly shot them down. He's so mean!
"Nano!" I said. "What do you think we're supposed to be looking for?"
"I don't know," my robot creation asked. "Maybe someone causing trouble?"
"What I'd like to find is some food," Sakamoto, our black cat who could talk with the red scarf I invented for him, said. "And the way back home."
Then, I gasped with realization. "My snacks! All the snacks are still at home! I didn't get to pack them!"
"Is that really important now?!" Sakamoto shouted.
"Nano! My snacks! We have to grab them!"
"We don't even know where we are," Nano replied. "From what that voice said, I don't think we'll be going home in awhile..."
"NOOO!" I whined. "Aak it to take us back! We'll come right back!"
"They probably have snacks here, anyway," Sakamoto said. "We should just find some people and ask around."
Nano looked at the key on her back. "The voice said that the people here have no knowledge of our worlds...They might freak out even more than the people from our world if they see my key or Sakamoto talking." She looked at me. "You should take my key off."
"No!" I instantly responded.
"No!" I started to throw a fit. "It's cute! People will say it's cute!"
"I think people would try to fight or capture her," Sakamoto said.
"No they won't! Robots are cute!"
Nano sighed. "Fine, I'll just walk around like this and hope no one gets suspicious."
Satisfied, I jumped back onto my feet. Nano looked at Sakamoto.
"But Sakamoto-san, you'll have to meow if we run into people."
He sighed, but nodded.
Then, we heard a voice shouting somewhere nearby.
"You hate them! They hate you! They want you gone...dead! You'd be better off like that anyway!" it said.
We walked towards the voice, hoping to investigate what was going on.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" Nano called out.
We saw that we had approached a strange pink haired boy, who turned to look at us.
I started to walk around, considering what the voice had said. Before I got here, I was returning to Nameless Hill after a visit to Eientei. I blacked out, and here I was. I was not as confused as other people may be. It probably was because in Gensokyo, many strange and even unexplainable things happen regularly, so such a thing wasn't all that new to me. There were also other dimensions there, like Former Heck, Makai, and Hakugyokurou to name a few, so world traveling also wasn't new. Well, I'd actually never traveled, but I'd heard much about it.
The only thing I was confused about was why I was brought into this. Such a task would be trusted with the Hakurei shrine maiden, or the Kirisame magician. Even the Scarlet Devil Mansion maid, half-phantom, Moriya shrine maiden, Lunar rabbit, and tengu reporter were more likely to be given such a task (or decide to partake in it) than I. I was a very young youkai, and not very powerful, the only thing making me threatening was my poison. I wasn't entirely good, since youkai are usually mischevious and the ones who cause trouble, not stop it.
But then again, I didn't know who else was here. I didn't know what was happening, or where I was. Maybe...I was the right one for the job? Or just chosen out of desperation.
"The situation is quite the incident, Su-san," I said, not bothering to look at the small, floating doll next to me. "Something Gensokyo has never heard of before. And out of all people, I was the one decided to be a heroine." I mentally laughed at the pun I accidentally made. "I should probably meet up with anyone else here. At the very least, I need to find some information to use in this search." I slighted smiled. "We're going to get to the bottom of this, and show that dolls can do everything humans and youkai can, Su-san."
Not looking ahead of me, I found that I bumped into something quite large. I felt the poison around me suddenly disperse on its own, as if it did not want to harm anyone around me this time. I looked up to see an armored creature, something I'd never seen before. It turned to look down at me, and the front was even more surprisingly than the back. I barely held back a gasp, Su-san started to float very close to me, nearly hidden behind me. I swear, it was if Su-san was shaking.
"Are you lost, childing?" the creaute spoke in a deep voice.
"I...I guess so..." I said. "You...were brought here as well...right?"
"Hm, then you aren't a native," it answered. "I was taken from my home during a time of need...where exactly are you from?"
It thought for moment. "Huh...never heard of such a place."
"What...what kind of youkai are you supposed to be?"
The creature was taken aback. "Youkai? I don't know what you're talking about, childling...I am a Sangheili...Though I suppose, since we are from different worlds, you aren't familar with my kind."
I shook my head. "I guess you aren't familar with mine, either."
It seemed confused. "You...aren't human?"
I shook my head again. "I'm a doll."
Its head tilted. "A...doll...?"
"A doll-turned-youkai, to be precise," I explained. "It's something that can just happen, even to inanimate objects like instruments, masks, and mirrors."
"Huh. You come from a strange world."
"You get used to it, after awhile."
The creature paused. "Well, we should go ahead and start our task, so we may be able to return home quickly. I am the Arbiter Thel 'Vadam."
"My name's Medicine Melancholy." I pointed to Su-san. "And this is Su-san."
I'll do villain and reality kid POVs later.
PLEASE LET THIS POST!
