Anyone hate writer's block as much as me? *listens to Christina Grimmie while writing this chapter and crying*
*Burns Kitteh's spinner again* ;)
Also, Happy and a few other people should remember the Orbs in this chapter from a previous SAMB Story I wrote. =)
As we passed through the Altar of Fluffeh, behind me, Adeline asked, "We passed through here earlier. What is this place?"
I glanced at her and sighed before responding. "This is the Altar of Fluffeh."
She glanced at me with disbelief. "You hail fluff?"
"No. Not that kind of fluffy. You'll learn soon."
I pushed open a door on the far side of the Altar to reveal a gigantic room filled with SAMBers rushing around. While blaring "Stay With Me" by Christina Grimmie, I pushed my way past Opal, Thorn, and Shei to the desk where Tags were recieved.
Spectrum sat on the far side of the desk, looking bored out of her mind until she spotted us and sat up excitedly. "Is this the new SAMBer I was told about?" she asked.
I nodded and she turned to Adeline. "Come over here and put your hand on this machine," pointing at the giant silver Tagger.
Adeline looked at me for confirmation and I nodded slightly so she went over to Spectrum who put her hand in the exact right spot.
As they went through the directions of the Tagging, someone tapped my shoulder. I whirled around to find Silver and Chance standing behind me. They both grinned at me.
"So is that the new girl?" Chance asked, nodding at Adeline.
"Yeah," I replied softly, unable to say anything else. Fortunately, neither of them bugged me about it. As Spectrum began the Tagging process on Adeline, I began to talk to Chance and Silver about my conversation with Keith and the others.
"Wow, that's... harsh..." Silver said when I was finished. I nodded.
"So your real name was Liv?" Chance asked.
"Yeah, but please don't call me that," I muttered. "That was my name. It's only Bubbles now and will always be."
They both nodded and awkwardly walked off to help set dinner as Spectrum and Adeline, walked up to me, Adeline examining the spot on her wrist where the tattoo now was.
"Hi," I said. "How'd it go?"
Spectrum glanced at Adeline, then back at me and responded slowly. "It was a little more difficult than usual because she doesn't have an account, but I managed to help her create one. She's now catemerald791 and her nickname is Juniper."
I grinned. "Fits you, Adeline. Sorry, Juniper."
For some reason, she didn't smile back at the joke. Instead, she looked sad. "Can we go now?" she asked.
"We all good here, Spectrum?" I questioned and my friend nodded. "Okay, let's go. I want to show you something before lunch and we have a little time left."
We exited the room, almost knocking down Icicle in the process. Like me and most of the SAMBers, she was wearing earbuds, listening to music. I could hear Demons blasting and smirked. "Nice choice in music, Pineapple," I said playfully, pushing her a little.
She smirked back before hurrying off and Juniper turned to me. "Pineapple?"
I continued to walk while answering her question. "Her real nickname is Icicle, but we call her Icy or Pineapple sometimes."
We walked in silence to the Altar of Fluffeh before I stopped and pointed at the five Orbs surrounding us.
"Those are what control the SAMB," I explained. "Well, at least most of it."
"Those spheres?" Juniper asked, her nose wrinkling as she examined the nearest Orb, the Orb of RP's.
"Yes. They're Orbs, not spheres. That one that you're looking at controls roleplays."
She looked up, excited. "You guys do RP's."
I nodded and said, "Yeah. There's also the Orb of Stories, the Orb of Randomness, the Orb of Skits, and the Orb of Speshal."
Juniper looked around in wonder. "That's so cool!"
I smirked at that and replied, "If you think this is so cool, wait till you see this."
Curious, she followed me over to a corner of the room where a lever was hidden. I flicked it and a giant door slowly opened. She stared at it in shock. "How did you do that?"
"I'm the wrong person to ask about that," I muttered, striding through the door. "You'd have to ask Rabit, the creator of fluffeh here on the SAMB and she's long gone."
"What happened to her?"
I shrugged before pointing ahead of us. "That's her special orb. The Orb of Fluffeh."
The Orb in question was a giant gold sphere sitting on top of a giant stone pedestal with strange engravings on it. Juniper stared at in awe.
After a moment of silence, I said softly, "Let's go."
She didn't protest as I pulled her away back to my room.
