@Topaz- all gang members have disappeared or have been darkened already, so the animals count
Sorry its short, but here is another chapter
Chapter eight- point of view, Tigris
Pain. Everywhere. She slowly pulled herself to her feet, and stood for a second, letting her vision clear. Then she heard Storm scream, "Kagami!" Tigris stumbled over to her backpack, which was ripped in half. She pulled out her last roll of bandages. She half-ran half- limped over to Kagami. She pushed through the SAMBers crowding around her. Tigris gasped when she saw Kagami, and felt a blaze of pain. I think I broke a rib or two. There was a huge gash on the side of Kagami's neck, a stream of blood flowing from it. Tigris knelt by Kagami, hands shaky, and quickly tryed to bandage Kagami's wound. She was so caught up in her work, she almost didn't hear Blaise's gasp. Tigris looked up, and saw Kagami's eyes were open and glazed.
"She's.... she's dead," whispered Anaia. Tigris stood up and walked over to Rose.
"Thank you for saving us, or more people would have died," she said. Her legs felt like they would give way in seconds.
"Anytime, Tigris," Rose said. Tigris beckoned Faith, Swiftstar, Rose, Kitten, and Grace, and they followed her as she started to walk away.
"Yeah! That's right Tigris, take your little favorites in the woods to make a decision for all of us," Silver shouted.Tigris turned around, her eyes flashing Amber with anger. She forced herself not to grab a dagger.
"Ok, that's it. I can't and won't do this anymore," Tigris said. "If none of you can cooperate, and people are dying, this mission is a fail," she growled.
"Tigris- wait! We've come this far-" Storm began.
"I SAID THIS MISSION WAS A FAIL!" Tigris screamed. Storm stepped back, eyes wide. Kodah came up to defend Storm.
"Hey listen-" she started, but Tigris wouldn't let her finish.
"Night Robin is dead, Kagami is dead, and Puppy's been Darkened! Who's next?" Tigris snarled. "Also, were all half- dead ourselves," she spat. "SO UNLESS ANYONE CAN REVERSE THE DARKNESS, IM LEAVING," Tigris shouted, looking at the faces of every SAMBer. They were all shocked into silence. Before she could take a step, the air shimmered and two figures materialized. It was none other then Kagami and Night Robin! Their spirits floated a few inches above ground, and they glowed white.
"SAMBers, all hope is not lost," Night Robin's spirit said.
"Make our deaths not be in vain," Kagami said.
"You will need to stick together, and trust each other if you are to all survive this journey," Night Robin said.
"Does that mean the deaths are over?" Cassy asked.
"No," Kagami replied. "But you can keep them to a minimum," she said.
"Question- is there any other SAMBers we'll meet on the way?" Freya asked, but the spirits were already fading.
"Remember- it takes only 2-3 days for SAMBers to heal," Night Robin said, and then they disappeared completely.
Tigris sighed. "Alright, we'll camp here, then get going again after 2-3 days."
