I was about to set off the find Raven when I heard a commotion in the courtyard.
I ran to check it out and was relieved to find that Raven had returned, then surprised to see that he had a girl with him, trapped in rope. I didn't think Raven was capable of such.
I walked toward him, "Who's this?"
Raven glanced at me, "Look at her."
I stared at her for a moment, then growled, "So you had to tie her up to bring her to the Haven? When she's obviously needed here?"
I was addressing Azalia more than Raven at this point.
Raven shrugged, "It would appear so." He gave me a look that was close to a glare, but it wasn't quite because this is Raven, "Are you gonna stop sulking now?"
"I wasn't sulking."
Raven gave me another look while the girl who has gone to check the border with our group, Calaena, I think, gave a cough and muttered something inaudible.
Azalia interuppted our conversation, "Getting these ropes off would be nice."
I glared at her, "Your just going to run away again."
"I hate to admit this, Xave, but I won't be getting far with all these Haveners around."
"Don't call me Xave." I muttered.
Just then Mrs. Wolfe walked in, took in the scene, and looked like she was about to yell at Raven when I explained to her what had happened.
She raised her eyebrow, "Azalia?"
Azalia huffed, "No use trying to hide it now."
I tapped the floor with my foot impatiently, "Well, it's your call, Mrs. Wolfe."
She crossed her arms, thought for a moment, then said, "We definitely could use another elemental." She turned to the Haveners, "I want a constant guard with her until she proves that she won't run away." She turned back to Azalia, "They'll
show you to your room."
They helped her out of the ropes and, as she passed me, I muttered, "And for goodness' sake, wash that dye out."
