You've always lived a normal life. Friends, school, family, laughter, fun, consequences, sorrow, failure, loss. However, it's always felt off to you, like you don't belong, but you've just pushed this feeling aside and acted like you did your whole life. One day, you find a letter with a blood-red seal with a compass rose in the center of said seal that seals the back of the letter closed. When you open it, you find a letter and a compass that doesn’t point north. The letter reads:
[Characters full name],
You have felt like an outsider your entire life, never quite fitting in. You have tried to convince yourself that you are normal like all the people surrounding you. The truth is, you are not like them. You are human, as they are, but that is where the similarities end. You have enhanced abilities, and the ability to wield Wh’sp’rw’nd, a unique weapon that changes form for each wielder, though most commonly taking the form of a type of bladed weapon. You have been given the opportunity to become the next wielder of this weapon. All you have to do is follow the enclosed compass, and you will eventually find Wh’sp’rw’nd. Once a wielder has been chosen, the blade will not choose another until the wielder dies a natural death. Becoming the wielder grants unique abilities of its own, which will not be disclosed here. Be wary, if you choose to go on this journey, as there are fifteen others, and only one will reign supreme. Be careful in your choices with interactions with them. If you do not choose to go on this journey, just ignore everything in this letter and go back to your life. If you do choose, best of luck. Let the Journey begin.
You choose to accept, and set out in the night, following where the compass goes. Shortly in, you find a weapon that seems perfect for you, and gives you a way to defend yourself against the other contenders. Put pow pow pow in other. Will you survive and become the wielder, or will you end up dead?
Some extra info:
Their enhanced abilities are stuff like sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, etc. They will have one that is the strongest. For example, if sight is their strongest then they might be able to see in the dark or something along those lines.
They all have enhanced resistance and they will heal faster than a regular person. This is equal for all and cannot be their strongest enhancement.
They don’t know each other.
There are some other people after the weapon for their own purposes, and they’re more or less the bad guys whos everyones against.
X will show up again.
Feel free to make alliances and stuff, it’s just that only one person will end up with the position, so the alliance isn’t going to last forever.
Even out the genders.
People can and will be killed. However, don’t just go around perfectly stabbing/shooting everyone, and try to have both sides agree.
No perfect characters, and no one sided personalities (edgelords, woe is me, etc.). Also, no cinnamon rolls. They don’t need to be here.
Saves last four days. If you need an extension, ask.
You can have two characters max.
Delete all parenthesis from the form.
Feel free to have drama in the RP, but don’t make it overly dramatic.
Don’t throw a hissy fit if your character dies. People are meant to die.
Try to not kill random innocent civilians/bystanders. They didn’t do anything besides being there.

So I've taken a few hundred souls- big deal!
Couldn't we just send a strongly worded letter?
There's spiders and ghosts and a big creepy grinning... person? Thing?
The verdict is GUILTY and now she must BURN!
