Calling All Greencloaks!
My fellow admins and I have put together a handy guide to help you on your adventures in Erdas. Hope you find it useful and good luck on your quest!
Greenhaven depends on you!
**Using your Bow**
Swords, daggers and axes are great, but sometimes it’s best to keep your distance. Using your bow to attack enemies from afar will be an important technique to learn. To use your bow, move your mouse cursor over the enemy you want to attack and RIGHT CLICK. If you are using a mouse that only has one button, hold down SHIFT and then LEFT CLICK on the enemy you want to attack with your bow.
With all the action that you will encounter on quests, it can be easy to get lost. If you’re uncertain what you should be doing, just look at the arrow in top right corner of your screen. This arrow will always point you in the general direction of your next objective.
For example: If your quest is to find a sword and return it to GreenhavenCastle, the quest arrow will point in the general direction of the sword. Once you find the sword, this arrow will now point you toward the general direction of the exit to return to Greenhaven.
Every Greencloak will start off with one skill, but learning new ones and improving the ones you have previously learned is an important part of becoming a powerful hero! Your hero will learn skills by completing Heroic Quests. There is one Heroic Quest available for each character level in the game, starting at level 3.
For example: When your hero reaches level 3, the first Heroic Quest will become available. Completing this quest will either give you a new skill, or improve a skill you’ve already learned. Once you complete the Level 3 Heroic Quest, the next Heroic Quest will become available once your hero reaches level 4.
After you have learned a new skill, be sure to visit Lenori in the Greenhaven Castle Courtyard. Here you can equip the skills you want to use on your next quest!
Not all the animals enslaved by the Conquerors are at the same strength. Some will be stronger or weaker, depending on how much of the mysterious potion was given to them. All of the enemies you’ll come across on quests are divided into 5 levels of difficulty, represented by the colored circle underneath them, and by the icon next to their name.
Green circle with no icon
These are the least difficult enemies you will come across on quests.
Yellow circle with 1 skull icon
These are a bit more difficult, and sometimes have special skills that can slow or poison you.
Orange circle with 2 skull icons
Now we’re starting to get a bit tougher. These enemies do increased damage, and will use skills regularly, so watch out!
Red circle with 3 skull icons
These are the some of the highest level enemies you’ll come across on quests. They have a lot of health and do increased damage. They also have powerful skills which they’ll use frequently.
Purple circle with crown icon
If you see this, look out! These are the most difficult enemies in the game. These rings are reserved for the Conquerors themselves, or talisman guardians like the Giant Scorpion!
