I'm just glad Riordan didn't pull a twisted stunt like with Percy and make Will have a girlfriend. I liked how Coach Hedge, Reyna, and Jason all knew about Nico's secret and kind of showed him that it didn't really matter because they still cared about him. He definitely needed that. And he definitely deserves the appreciation. The fact that he thought Percy seemed like a regular guy to him, at the end of Blood of Olympus, and not someone to idolize or crush on, kind of proves he's over Percy so I liked that. I was surprised when he told Percy about that--mostly cuz of Percy's O_O reaction--but the fact that he was able to talk about it was good.
I saw these horrible reviews for the House of Hades saying people wanted Nico to die because of that. And I was just like 'seriously?' cuz Nico's still awesome, and its not like the way he feels has anything to do with whether or not he's supposed to be a good person. Nico's still my second favorite character, if anything, I like him more in Heroes of Olympus cuz he shows to care about Hazel, and you get more about his personal life than in Percy Jackson, especially in Blood of Olympus, so its easier to understand his character.
