Some dogs are cute, but in general, I'm a cat person.
Also, I have a theory. We had a (unplanned) debate about this in band, where most people said dogs. Here most people say cats. I think that introverts prefer cats more because they are pretty chill and take care of themselves, but still show affection and attention, which a quiet introvert appreciates. However, outgoing extroverts are dog people. Literally every one of them said something like "Oh, but a dog is so loyal and playful and fun!", which are traits that extroverts value. Basically, introverts see more of themselves in cats, and extroverts see more of themselves in dogs.
Extroverts don't tend to stick around on the SAMB. They're off having a life, unlike us little extroverts in here who don't go places unless it's a matter of religion or law. Introverts=cats, Introverts=90% of SAMB population, most of SAMB population=cat people. Unlike band, where the opposite is true because a lot of them are extroverted. (And I'm over in the ambivert area woo woo)
