Even though I live like an hour away from the path of totality, I am obsessed with astronomy and I decided to attend a summer camp out in SC so I can watch it with other people my age and scientists.
Best places are Carbondale Illinois, (My friends will be here, I think as well as the 2024 eclipse) Hopkinsville Kentucky, Great Smokey Mountains Nat. Park (Jen wanted to go here, but couldn't) Tennessee, Madras Oregon, Snake River Valley Idaho, St. Joseph Missouri, Nashville Tennessee, (Go meet my crazy uncle)Columbia South Carolina (Come find me!)
Anyways, I would suggest finding a small town somewhere really close by the listed towns because those are all already extremely over booked.
Hope this helped anyone wanted to view the eclipse.
Also, fake solar eclipse glasses are on the market, please be careful. When looking through the lenses, you should ONLY be able to the sun and EXTREMELY bright lights.
