CH. ONE~ Long live The Queen
"Peace once ruled the SAMB. Many came and left, creating other worlds and letting them wither. People came to be comforted, to meet new people. It was all under careful supervision by the Mods, who could strike down anyone with a point of the finger. Life for SAMBers was good.
Until the Purge.
One day, when almost everyone was on, people found notes and fliers taped onto the main message board and in everyone's homes. Whenever they read it, they felt faint and tried to log out. No one could. The Mods simply disappeared when they read it. The letter was simple.
Don't fight back. Bow to the new queen.
The Legion of The Scythe."
Despite the message, many did fight back. They came out changed, reporting everyone who even glared at the castle to the Leigon. A few weeks afterwards, a white smoke filled the streets. Few SAMBers made it out of the town. Many only with the clothes on their backs. THey sent runners out to gather supplies, most of them came back, but disappeared later. It's been two years, and the SAMBers who were left all live in a cave system, going out in groups of three. They are still hiding. Scared of the Queen...."
I yawned and closed the book. The new SAMBers stood up and stretched. "Go choose a cave. If there isn't one, make it." A groan was heard from the back of the cave. "Oh, shush Puffin. You sleep in my cave. Why are you even here?" I said, still kind of yawning.
"I like the story, ok?"
"It's an 500 page book on the SAMB. Not a story, more like history."
"Kitten, stop fighting with your OC and show them where the caves are." Ray had entered the room and was leaning on the hole we called a door. She turned her green eyes onto the new recruits. "Actually, how about I tour them. Bear and Talon need another hunting member for their group. Grab your bow and head off." She gestured for the newbies to follow her and spun around, her firey hair flying behind her as she speedwalked off, the newbie jogging to keep up with her. Puffin looked at me and darted into our room. I sighed an followed her to lace up my boots and grab my bow. Ray used to be much nicer, but two, almost three years of constant patrols, hunting, and back breaking work like making armour, weapons, and carving out new cave tunnels wore her down. The few flipsides and OCs left with us were busy helping, so no one got a laugh from them anymore. I lung my quiver over my shoulder and started to the elevator. The group hopped in and Nightshade started pulling the rope, pulling us up to the surface, where we blinked away the sun. Bear queitly closed the hatch and we went into the woods, hunting for anything. The rations our runners brought in were used up months ago. "Let's just split up and meet here in an hour." Bear said. Me and Talon nodded and we all darted off into the woods. I climbed a tree and waited, only really moving to shoot down a rabbit and two deer. With those, I hopped down and picked some berries, which I identified as blackberries weeks ago, elderberries, dandilions, and a few nuts. Some of the half animals, like Ray's OCs Louie and Echo, prefered not to eat the animal they were, like deer, so I always got them some plants. Ray's magic backpack had been working strange recently, and she could usualy pull out the food we'd need to survive but no extra. I headed back to the cave. Louie took the food to take to the kitchen and Doggy pulled me back to my room.
"You've been awake most of the past two weeks. Sleep." And with a simple spell, she made me, against my will, sleep.
