It’s summertime in the northern hemisphere and you know what that means? Extra time to read!

So here’s your challenge: make some recommendations! Share the kind of book you like so the person below you can recommend a book, and recommend a book for the person above you!

This is an obvious one -- if you like Spirit Animals, you’ll probably love the Wings of Fire series. Can someone recommend a book for me? (Keep it forum appropriate, please!)

I like fantasy books with some good shipping possibilities!

Let’s go!

Wings of Fire Book #12: The Hive Queen (December 26, 2018!!!)!

I would recommend The Hobbit(it's shorter than LOTR and has a great plot line) or the mortal instruments.

Anyone one know of any good historical fiction books? I haven't read one in a while

Recently I read through the first two books from the Arc of A Scythe trilogy by Neal Shusterman. These novels are a bit more mature and on the longer side (the shorter of the two books I’ve read being at least 400 pages) but I think they”re those types of books that you are glad lasted that long and maybe wished went on forever. The world building in these novels is fantastic and pretty much every increment in the books plays a role that has actual impact to the story.

I’d recommend these books to anyone who enjoys books with vibrant worlds and a complex plot.

The Princess Academy is good. {Think that's the right title}

The Matched trilogy is also a good series.

And yes, Wings of Fire is amazing!

I've heard that Keeper of the Lost City{ies? I can't quite remember the title} is good. I've been trying to read it.

Story Theives. I love that series.

The Hobbit. Just read it it's amazing.

Okay, heres some I'd reccommend:

The Novice by Taran Matharu *

The Broker by John Grisham (note, adult fiction so yeah)

The Theodore Boone series by John Grisham *

The Diviners by Libba Bray *

The Finest Creation by Jean Rabe *

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness *

Agatha Christie mystery books (Murder on the Orient Express is one that good (they're all good though))

Bad Unicorn by Platte F. Clark *

The Fire Within by Chris D'Lacey *

Ratlines by Stuart Neville

Spheria by Cody Leet

Age of Order by Julian North *

Under the Empyrean Sky by Chuck Wendig *

That's just a few, and some are series, but there you have it.

* Book is part of a series

out of the forum appropriate ones i would generally just recomend books like wings of fire, eragon, the books in the PJOlike series by rick roirdan, how to train your tradon, magisterium, shadowmagic, wing and claw~

there are some others that i dont really know count as forum appropriate, then there are those that i know arent forum appropriate.

erhm

i mainly like good fiction/scifi type books, in the general likeness of the ones listed above. books will get extra points from me if they have convincing villians, with good and evil not actually being defined, like how its stated in WoF, its all shades of gray, or for example in black panther with killmonger.

this was a long post

sorry

hi there

I should be more dignified, but I'm too random, so here:

Life is worth living, as there are little moments that make it so

terrible poetic

Also: Cyber-Bullies are cowards, they hide behind a screen

I want to read more YA so can someone recommend a fairly diverse fantasy or realistic fiction YA? (Just going to tell you I've read all of Rick Riordan's books in case you were going to recommend them and loved it, so if you like books with diverse characters, humor and action or mythology read his books.)

Hi, I'm back! After like a century...Sorry...

I wouldn't exactly call it YA, but you should try out the sisters Grimm. I've read the whole series three times over the years and enjoyed the new interpretations every time.
