”Use the portal,” I said gesturing at it, “it’ll take you wherever you want, just picture the location as you step into it.” I stoped, waving my hand and chanting. Another portal opened up, intended for me. It glowed maroon, signifying that it would take me to the Realm of Magic. I needed to find out what Vortexes intentions were, and maybe get some answers on what was going on. Giving Sammy a hug, I muttered something under my breath. They healed him enough to walk without my support. Taking a deep breath, I stepped into the portal.
I felt it surround me, and before I dissapered, I shouted; “I’ll be back, hopefully! I just need to figure something out. If I die, give my dog a hug!” As I disappeared, I closed the portal behind me. The usual falling sensation hit me as I popped out in the Realm of Magic, and I felt my feet land on hard ground. Everything glowed maroon, and strange plumes of purple flames rose from the ground, licking the dull colored plants and hills. Icy cold winds buffeted me, and I could feel someone watching me. Wheeling around, I found myself face to face with her.
Vortex's ancient and colorless eyes starred into mine, a cruel smile spread across her face. Her many scars were outlined by the reddish light, marring her once pretty face. She was wearing a dark cloak which was pulled over her head, and glowing blue wristbands imprisoned her in the Realm of Magic.
“So,” her voice was cold and emotionless, besides hints of disgust. “You tell off all your buddies, having them go home because it is to dangerous. Yet, you come here where I could kill you with little effort.”
“Yeah, pretty much,” I said in a know-it-all tone.
She hissed at me, low and evilly. “If I were you, I’d be taking this far more seriously. You can’t stop us, you of all people should know that. I have showed you first hand what I’m capable of.”
Her words hit me, and I remembered vividly what she had done to my sister that night last year. “And what? You’re going to murder me too?” I narrowed my eyes, allowing bits of lightning to flash in them. “At least then I wouldn't have to remember my sister dying in front of me, begging for me to run away and leave her with you.”
She took a step closer to me, and I took a step closer to her. We were nose to nose, and I could feel storm energy emitting from both of us. If we were going to fight, Vortex would remember it.
Just set a friendly note, I'm going to PoV off of this later, so don’t come in and stop the fight please. Thanks!
