Okay, here goes!
Chapter 1: A strange book of amazing machinery.
Elissa May sat comfortably on her bed, contemplating about the uses of the book of inventions she had found in her basement. Yes, it was only a book, but as its title proved, it was quite special. The book was oddly titled "The Young Mad Scientist's Guide to Inventing Oddities, by Mack Willismonton," a strange name indeed. Most of the pages were missing, but the few things that were there stood out as quite powerful, and enough to take over (or embarrass, considering the first item's uses on people) the school. The items were:
*A glitter gun. Not very strong, but it would be fun for parties and spraying on people who are too cool for a bunch of pink and purple glitter.
*A shrinking machine. Very cool, and quite overpowered. A good use would be using it on an ice cream sundae, making it huge, or on yourself, so the sundae would look huge.
*Fur-growing liquid. Can be applied to skin, covering it with thick hair. It wears off in two days, so it would be fun to try on other kids.
And most importantly,
*A flamingo ray. Turns target into A; a flamingo with human intelligence, B; gives target the intelligence of a flamingo, C; makes target a flamingo with flamingo intelligence, and D; which removes all or certain (depends on programming) effects.
As you can see by her daydreams for these special machines, Elissa was the type of kid who enjoyed making mayhem. She loved to misbehave. And so, there was no doubt this book was perfect for her.
